Mini Session Sneak Peek ~ C. Family | Lee's Summit Family and Child Photographer

Last Saturday, I got to go out with the lovely C. family. I did newborn pictures for their youngest son last winter. He's now a healthy, bouncing 6-month-old, enjoying the new skill of sitting unassisted. (When was the last time you appreciated being able to sit unassisted? The things we take for granted as adult that babies work so hard to master!) 

We had a great time at Saturday's session, and even though the boys were definitely done by the end of the 30 minutes, I was able to get some great pictures of everyone. Aren't they a beautiful family?

You may remember this family from the cake smash post back in February. In April, I got to meet with them again for a family outdoor mini shoot. After the second session, we met to go over print options. Adrianne wanted some 4x10 collages made of pictures of Julian, as well as a 12x12 collage of family pictures from the cake smash session. I put together a few designs, are here is what she decided on:

Custom storyboards are a great way to showcase your favorite images from your session. Spring Mini Sneak Peek ~ M. Family | Lee's Summit Family and Child Photographer

I love these guys. I have taken pictures of Lauren and her girls several times over the last year and a half - Lauren's maternity pictures, Alexis' newborn pictures (with Katelynn and David), Alexis' 3-month pictures (with Katelynn and Lauren), and Alexis' 9-month pictures. Now Alexis is a bouncing 12 months old, and this time I got to go out with the whole family for the first time! I took several shots of the entire family of five, and was thrilled to find one of them with everyone in focus looking at the camera, eyes opened. No head swaps needed! Hurrah!  I got some fun individual and small group shots too. Here is a preview. I'm still working on the rest! 

Spring Minis Have Begun! | Kansas City, Lee's Summit Child and Family Photographer

I had my first night of Spring Minis Tuesday evening, and I am getting ready for Saturday's! There is one spot available on Saturday if you would like to sign up (5:30 PM, at Unity Village). I also have two spots available on Saturday, May 19th (6:30 and 7:00 PM at Waterfall Park). 

Chocolate Wedding Bliss | Kansas City, Lee's Summit Wedding Photographer

Last weekend, my husband, the boys, and I piled into our silver PT Cruiser and cruised our way to Provo, Utah, where we attended both the baby blessing of our nephew Cadan, my brother- and sister-in-law Pat and Kaccee's baby; and the wedding of my sister-in-law Melissa to her love Drew. It was a whirlwind trip - here today and gone tomorrow (we had to get our oldest son back to school; this being the third sibling wedding we've had out-of-state this school year, he has already missed more school than he's technically allowed) - but we enjoyed our time with family.

At the wedding of Melissa and Drew, the couple decided to forgo the traditional white wedding cake in favor of "the best chocolate cake you'll ever have." They got the cake from The Chocolate, a dessert cafe in Provo, and my, was it good! If you ever visit Provo, be sure to check out The Chocolate.

I was a guest at the wedding, and didn't have the responsibility of wedding photographer, but of course I had my camera with me. I was able to capture this beauty of an image from my seat of the happy couple posing with their cake during the formal luncheon.
